Each unique person wants to lead the way, with their personal choices. Some of the opportunities that they chose are Broadway plays, Nassau Coliseum shows, and visiting the American Museum of Natural History. Others have benefited from the Circle Line Cruises around Manhattan and viewing the Statue of Liberty. Many take advantage of the local plays at the Argyle Theater, Halloween event meet-ups, Town of Hempstead Echo Park Pool parties, bowling, Islander games and other USB events, to name a few. We spearheaded several community learning sessions. This allowed all to enhance their knowledge of the growing movement of spelling with a letterboard as a communication device. There are so many ways to connect, live fully, and empower!

We have had the pleasure to sponsoring monthly events in collaboration with the Garden City Parks and Recreation Dept, including basketball, various art projects, game night, yoga, socials, nerf pickleball, dances, mini golf, and pizza socials. We look forward to continuing that local support. We have also collaborated with the Garden City Library for some arts and crafts events.
